Jeremy Norman

Chairman

After a visit to America, Jeremy was inspired to open his first gym, Power Station in Chelsea, in 1983. Using his experience in the nightclub world – he created both Heaven and The Embassy Club – he went on to open Soho Athletic Club in Covent Garden in 1994. The group quickly expanded to include Earls Court Gym (where Princess Diana trained). He is now part-time executive Chairman, guiding the group's expansion to 6 gyms, all in London. He trains regularly with a Personal Trainer. His partner, Derek Frost, the interior designer, is responsible for the overall look of the gyms.

Michael Crockett

Managing Director

I joined Soho Gyms in January 2003 after 8 years of managing a variety of leisure operations and many more years as a squash coach. I place the highest importance on great customer service, keeping the gyms clean, functional and organised, training our staff – and especially on everyone having some fun along the way. I hope you enjoy our gyms as much as I enjoy working within them.

Tony Lyons

Director of Fitness

I joined Soho Gyms 4 years ago, as Gym Manager at Covent Garden. I have been in this industry for over 20 years in many different capacities, mostly as a Personal Trainer, working all over the world. After my years in management, I returned to Personal Training as it was my first love, and I oversee the PT operation here at Soho Gyms. I now specialize in clients who find it very difficult to reach their goals – and I find great satisfaction in helping them achieve them. All of my clients are long term, committed gym goers. Kc Van-Roose

Head of Group Exercise

I have been involved in the fitness industry for over 10 years. I started as a freelance group exercise instructor and discovered quickly that I enjoyed managing group exercise just as much as much as teaching it!

After moving to London from Leicester in 2006 I became a national trainer for Les Mills. This has allowed me to not only give people in my classes a fun and enjoyable fitness experience, but to be able to train other instructors to do the same.

I currently manage all group exercise in Soho Gyms.

I believe that the studio is a great place for anyone to train. I aim to provide classes that satisfy everyone’s needs, whether you want to keep healthy, have fun, lose weight, or get ripped!

Dominic McVeigh

I joined Soho Gyms in 2013 after a working in agencies in London, Liverpool and Manchester. As an rugby player (ex- and average) and a gym-goer (not regular enough), I trained at Soho Gyms before my interview and couldn’t believe how different the Soho Gyms brand was in comparison to other gyms I had been a member of. I’d been accustomed to turning up to my gym (they’ll remain nameless), scanning in myself, training and leaving without so much as a word between me and anyone else. But in my first visit to Soho Gyms I saw immediately how the members of our gyms interacted with the each other, with the Soho team with their expert fitness knowledge and importantly how they cared about the customer. The brand is authentic, vibrant, inspiring – so it’s exciting to work with experts who know how to deliver fitness in a friendly environment where people love to train and stay fit.

I look after the property and maintenance for each of the 10 Soho gyms in the group and have been for over 10 years.
