YMCA Awards Personal Training Certificate
PT Certificate?
This course offers the perfect springboard for your own business as a PT offering one-to-one and group fitness coaching, advice, and support.
Personal Trainer Certificate
With the current developments in UK sport there is simply no better time to train as a fitness professional. The Soho Academy YMCA Awards Personal Trainer Certificate will enable you to help your clients achieve their goals by giving you the practical tools you need to become a confident, quality instructor. Our hands-on approach, in combination with the excellent quality of teaching and unique additional modules will give you the edge as you begin your career as a personal trainer.
Format of Course
The Personal Trainer Certificate is a part time course which typically takes around three months to complete, including the assessment phase. Face-to-face tuition, mentoring and practical sessions are held during weekends and/or evenings on-site at our gyms. Some modules are completed as home study, giving you increased flexibility so you can make the best use of your time. The home study modules will include telephone and electronic support options. This course structure enables you to combine your work or family commitments with learning new skills, as you develop into a fully qualified and experienced fitness professional.
Entry Requirements
No prior qualifications are needed to gain entry onto the full PT Course including both Level 2 and Level 3 aspects of the course. A course of this nature requires a reasonable level of fitness and academic skills. Students will need to study throughout the course so it is important you can commit to the course dates and home study to successfully pass the YMCA Awards exams/assessments.
If you already have Level 2 Gym Instructor and only require Level 3 PT Certificate, we can accommodate this as well at a lower fee (as you will not require the Gym aspect of the course).
Qualification Gained
When you successfully completed and passed the course you will be awarded the YMCA Awards Level 3 Personal Trainer Certificate.
You are now a Personal Trainer.
Next Step
Congratulations, you can now begin your new career as a personal trainer! After the course is over, you may choose to enhance your personal development by enrolling on some of our CPD courses and workshops, designed to give you practical new skills which you can use to teach a new class such as Boxing for Fitness, or gain new teaching methods to enhance your performance as a fitness professional.
