This three day course is designed to deliver an advanced understanding of the applications of contemporary strength & conditioning science employed within elite sport.

Linking current scientific theory to real practical applications you will learn to deliver perfectly tailored programmes to a range of clients using the latest advances in exercise science.

From RAMP warm ups to optimising recovery strategies and everything in-between, use this knowledge to bring the very best out of your clients.

  • Factors affecting, and how to alter force production in a gym environment
  • Underlying principles and delivery of the RAMP warm up
  • Performance profiling of resistance training and metabolic conditioning
  • Assessing passive restrictions and appropriate referrals
  • Understanding and delivering plyometric activities
  • Designing programmes for a range of clients
  • Endurance running - Determinants of and the means to improve
  • Designing trunk conditioning exercises for optimal force transfer and mediation
  • Agility and acceleration drills to improve change of direction and linear velocity
  • Client specific recovery strategies

Prerequisites

Holding or working towards Level 3 Personal Trainer

Multiple choice theory paper on day 3 of the course
